Professional Guitarist & Singer-Songwriter

Austin-born guitarist Asa Makowski is rapidly emerging as a compelling voice in contemporary American roots music. A natural talent who began his musical journey at age nine, Makowski has developed into an accomplished performer who deftly navigates the boundaries between rock, blues, soul, and country.

Makowski’s dynamic guitar work and authentic songwriting have earned him recognition from industry professionals, leading to a contract with WOA Entertainment and an international touring schedule that has included notable performances across the United States and United Kingdom. His work with Mak Daddy Revue, particularly their breakthrough single “I’m Leavin’,” showcases his ability to craft songs that honor traditional American music while pushing genre boundaries.

His musical education, which includes mentorship from Louisville musician Scott Carney (Wax Fang) and intensive training through School of Rock, has shaped his approach to both performance and composition. Makowski’s influences range from the raw energy of Rory Gallagher to the genre-defying style of Charley Crockett, informing a sound that’s both familiar and distinctly his own.

Recent releases with Mak Daddy Revue include “She’s Mine All Mine,” “Maybe You’ll Need Me Someday,” and “I Wanna Believe” (2023-2024), demonstrating his evolution as both a songwriter and performer. His live performances, whether solo or with his full band, are marked by an engaging stage presence and technical prowess that consistently connects with audiences.

Currently, Makowski is working on new material with Mak Daddy Revue while maintaining an active touring schedule. His commitment to musical authenticity and cross-genre exploration positions him as an artist to watch in the contemporary American music scene.
